My Story
Hi, I’m Nelia Lopes, but most people call me Nel. I’m a Portuguese Brazilian digital artist based in Massachusetts. I was born in Portugal and moved to the U.S. with my family when I was around five, and I’ve been creating art ever since I could hold a pencil.
I specialize in digital art and commissions, and I also work on personal animations when I have the time. I love exploring fantasy themes and deep emotions in my work—anything that tells a story or makes someone feel something.
Even though I don’t speak Portuguese, my heritage is a big part of who I am and inspires how I see the world. My goal as an artist is to share my work with the world and connect with other creatives who are just as passionate as I am.

I’m a passionate creator with a love for video games, tabletop RPGs, and all things art. I’m always fascinated by the incredible worlds and immersive storytelling that video games can offer. The way they craft entire universes to explore, learn, and lose yourself in is something that inspires much of my work.
Currently, I’m diving deep into Unreal Engine 5, expanding my skills to bring new worlds and characters to life. In addition to learning UE5, I’m working on freelance projects, primarily creating custom characters for D&D groups—helping bring your campaigns to life, one character at a time.
When I’m not working or learning, you can find me running tabletop RPG sessions or enjoying a few of my own. TTRPGs are an essential part of my life, and I love crafting stories and adventures for my players. Oh, and fun fact—I’ve also designed a board game that I’m in the process of finalizing!
